Spiritual Conditioning
Well I got back out on the road tonight, after a month of not walking because of rain and all the other excuses I could find. I finally decided it was time to get my laziness back out on the road and start loosing the rest of this weight that is tieing me down. It felt so good, but even after just not walking for a month, I can feel the muscles in my body already hurting, I huffed and puffed through a mile ( I was up to 3 miles before I stopped). That last lap around the block I began to really think about how our body conditioning is alot like our spiritual conditioning. If we don't work on our inward selves, we will begin to become weak, unhealthy, unfit and lazy. When we just forget, or get to busy or just don't care to give our spirit so conditioning there is nothing there to feed us, nothing to nurish us and nothing to sustain us through the storms of life. We must continually work on our spiritual growth and see our spiritual growth just as important as our physical growth.
As we take the time for our spiritual growth our indurance through trials will become more stable. We will become strong, and we will grow .
So as I start to work out again, watch my intake of food and see more weight lost. I am also going to really start focusing on my inward spiritual growth at the same time so I can be growing both inside and out.
